​Southern Nevada Homeschool Association Event Acknowledgment and Participation Agreement
​By registering for, attending, or participating in any event, workshop, field trip, or community activity hosted, organized, or sponsored by the Southern Nevada Homeschool Association (SNHA), you agree to the following terms and guidelines designed to ensure a safe, organized, and collaborative environment for all families:

​1. Acknowledgment of Program Environment & Activities
​You understand that SNHA community events, workshops, and field trips involve standard physical and social activities typical of youth educational and recreational programs.
​You acknowledge that while organizers, instructors, and volunteers strive to maintain a safe, well-supervised environment, inherent risks of everyday group activities (such as minor slips, sports participation, or interacting with shared educational materials) still apply.

​2. Schedule Changes & Right to Refuse Service
​Event Modifications: SNHA reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel events, workshops, field trips, or locations if circumstances require (such as instructor availability, venue changes, or low enrollment). Registered participants will be notified of any changes as quickly as possible.
​Right to Refuse Service: SNHA reserves the right to refuse admission, cancel a registration, or deny service to any individual or family at any time to ensure the safety, well-being, and smooth operation of the organization and its events.

​3. Illness & Health Policy
​You and your participating child(ren) agree not to attend any in-person event, workshop, or field trip if experiencing a fever, contagious illness, heavy coughing, or symptoms of communicable sickness, helping to maintain a safe environment for all homeschooling families.

​4. Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Supervision Policy
​Parents or designated guardians must remain on-site during workshops and events unless the program is explicitly designated as a "drop-off" event.
​For approved drop-off programs, parents agree to drop off children promptly at the scheduled start time and pick them up immediately upon completion.

​5. Behavioral Expectations & Code of Conduct
​All participants (parents and children) are expected to treat instructors, venue staff, volunteers, and fellow members with respect and follow all instructions.
​SNHA reserves the right to remove any participant from an event or workshop without a refund in the event of disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior.

​6. Dress Code Policy
​You and your participating child(ren) agree to adhere to any specified dress codes for SNHA events, workshops, or partner facilities (such as athletic attire and closed-toe shoes for active workshops or physical education classes). Clothing should be appropriate, respectful, and family-friendly for a public educational setting.

​7. Registration, Fees, and Non-Refundable Policy
​All registration fees, ticket purchases, and workshop payments made to SNHA are non-refundable.
​Because materials, venue spaces, and instructor capacities are reserved in advance based on headcount, fees cannot be refunded in the event of absence, illness, withdrawal, schedule changes, or removal from an event.

​8. Medical Emergency Authorization
​In the event of a medical emergency or sudden illness during an SNHA activity, you authorize event organizers or instructors to seek and secure appropriate emergency medical care or transport for your child if you cannot be immediately reached.
​You understand that you remain financially responsible for any medical care or emergency transportation costs incurred.

​9. Media and Photo Release
​You grant permission for SNHA to take photographs or video recordings of you and your children during events to use for educational updates, community newsletters, and promotional materials (such as the SNHA website or social media pages). If you prefer not to have your child photographed, you agree to notify the event coordinator in writing.

​By completing your event registrations, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these community guidelines and policies.
